Let's go fly a kite...

Thanks to Lucy's ferocious bark at 7am I was up early on a Saturday.  I didn't have big plans set... or any plans for that matter.  After a few minutes of laying in bed awake I finally realized what I wanted to do for Austin's Valentines day gift.  I have seen Frame The Date on Young House Love and always thought it would be a cute idea to do as a gift... or to have hanging on my wall.  I figured this is the perfect opportunity to do it!  So with Lucy in the back of my car and my camera sitting next to me we headed out to downtown Pensacola.  We did a lot of walking/wondering, taking pictures, and saying hello to strangers.  We walked through a mini farmers market where we smelt some yummie coffee and found a new resturant that I wouldn't mind trying.

We were almost done wondering around looking for numbers when we came across some random horse posts.  Sadly, I was without my horse today(?) so I forced Lucy to be my horse.

This is when Lucy was introduced with her first Pelican & Crane.
I am pretty sure this man had bird friends because he was feeding them what he catched...
The old fishermans friends were scared off thanks to a lady that was trying to pet it... so we got a better view of them.
She wanted to say hello, but I said no.
Lucy begging to go play with the birds...
As ugly as he is... his feathers on top of his head looked so soft.
Then we started on our walk back to the car... Lucy showing the way, aka pulling.
About this time I realized I had no idea where I parked the car.
This is the end result of my Valentine gift.  I couldn't find a "08" so I used an "8" instead. That date represents our wedding anniversary.  So the next step is for me to find a picture frame that will hold 3 pictures.  Then I will have to go print out the pictures. [Janell said I need to find a "08"... dang it!  I guess when I eventually find one I will replace the "8" with it.]

After our long morning walk I was able to grab a cup of my beloved Starbucks carmel applie spice to warm my fingers and my belly up a bit.  Lucy crashed as soon as we got home.  So I guess she had a dog-gone good day!
