Riding Dirty

After an hour drive, 3 hours of talking, and another drive I finally came home with a new car.  It has to be beyond one of the most stressful things I ever had to do in my ENTIRE life.  That is why I only want to do it every 10 years.  Same car as before, RIP, but different color.  It is taking some getting used to but I kind of like the new color.  Trying to think of a new name for her, Rhett was the last one and before that there was Jake the Jetta.  This is definitely a girl though... maybe Reese/Reesie?

I am going to have a pretty boring weekend.  I am determined to get ALL photo sessions DONE.  Clean the house from all dog hair and dust.  Attempt to carpet clean.  Do laundry and put it ALL away.  Ice Austin's sugar cookies for his care package and ice a cake for class.  Mail out a disk.  And get over my cold.

Care Package in the making...
I have been pretty good about staying away from naughty foods. (Minus last weekend when my sister came to visit)  30 pounds down since Jan!  I want to lose at least 30 more. But it is so hard when you see yummie things like Cappuccino Muffins with step-by-step instructions...

Please let me eat you...

What to do...

When I came home from work for lunch Austin was still in bed and we were trying to decide how we wanted to spend our night.  We both were throwing out ideas to figure something out. Get sushi from Publix and eat it on the beach?  Go to Little Ceasers and get a Redbox?  Then something so random came out of my mouth... go to Biloxi and go gamble?  To my astonishment Austin agreed.  So when I finished up with the rest of my day at work we headed to Mississippi!

Once we arrived to Biloxi we decided we should grab someting to eat.  I have been wanting to try some gumbo since we been here so I looked up a place that had gumbo... McElroy's on the Bayou.  You cannot beat gumbo on the Bayou right?  Their gumbo wasn't what I thought gumbo would look like. I don't think it was authentic cajan gumbo but it was okay.  There wasn't much atmosphere at McElroy's and during dinner it reminded me of a retirement home... so I don't think I will be wanting to go back anytime soon. We then went to a casino that Austin's mom suggested.  Although, I was impressed with the bar as soon as you walk into the door... it reminded me of a paradise for retired folks.  Austin had some luck on the slots and I had a bit of luck playing electronic blackjack.

We finally headed over to the Hard Rock Casino... LOVED!  I think that is where everyone our age was hiding.  It was a ton of  fun with a lot of stuff to look at like...

They had a hat from the Mommas and the Poppas that looked oddly like a hat that Mr. Teeth from Jim Henson's Muppets would have worn.

And I saw some Madonna cone boobies!

We spent close to $100 in gambeling and Austin was able to win it all back plus $3.00 and a $5.00 chip on roullette.  It was by far the best time I have had in a very long time! I am looking forward to going back when he comes back from his deployment.

Maybe next time I will dress up and wear a fun dress like one of these from Flirt Catalog.
